Road trips around the island, journeys deep into the highlands, and winter expeditions under harsh conditions alongside experienced mountain guides. Iceland feels unlike anywhere else I have travelled. Black sands stretching beneath restless skies, glaciers creeping into volcanic ground, and highland rivers braiding through soil, ash, and meltwater on their path seeking the sea.
